Pipiwai Trail Weather in Spring (Mar – May)
Expect 65-80 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures and occasional brief showers.
Spring is a great time to hike the rainforest with blooming flowers and new foliage. Waterfalls are breathtaking with waters cascading down cliffs in majestic volume.

Pipiwai Trail Weather in Summer (Jun – Aug)
Hiking is a bit easier in summer since the trail tends to be drier and less slippery. Temperatures range from 70-85, with rare tropical showers.
The bamboo forest in particular is enchanting in summer, with the tall, swaying stalks absolutely mesmerizing!

Pipiwai Trail Weather in Fall (Sep – Nov)
Weather is a bit milder in fall with temperatures ranging from 65-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect more rain but less crowds.
Nature photographers will love the soft, diffused light typical of this season.
Pipiwai Trail Weather in Winter (Dec – Feb)
While rains are much more frequent in winter, the trail views are spectacular with streams bursting and the falls gushing with full force.

Hiking the Pipiwai Trail is much more challenging, with the trail slippery and streams swollen.
